Northside’s girls and boys soccer teams took a pair from Little Rock Central on Thursday night in 6A-Central play.

The Lady Bears defeated the Lady Tigers on penalty kicks, after Central had tied the game with five minutes left.

Northside (5-3, 1-1) took a 1-0 lead on Madelline Davidson’s goal early in the second half.

The Lady Bears goalkeeper Debbie Rangel correctly read Central’s final two attempts, stopping them both.

Northside won the boys game, 2-1, though they had some terrible first half luck.

Central took a 1-0 lead when a deep ball bounced off of Mickey Zambrana and the wind took it across the goal.

Northside (6-3, 1-1) tied it on Jarvin Nieto’s goal, and Luis Paredes scored the winning goal with just under five minutes left to play.
