Luke Rotert snapped a 3-3 tie with a go-ahead RBI single last week in the Grizzlies’ 5-3 win over Little Rock Central.

The Grizzlies (1-0 in the 6A-Central) tied the game on Derrick Wise’s fifth-inning RBI single. Jett Frazier, the third Northside pitcher, worked two innings for the win, striking out three and not allowing a hit.

Hard-throwing left-hander Khaden Washington went four innings, striking out six and walking seven. But after throwing 94 pitches in four innings, he was lifted in favor of Donte O’Neal, who threw three scoreless innings before Frazier took over in the eighth.
