Football returns to the field today as three Little Rock School District programs take part in their annual Benefit Week games. Little Rock Central, Parkview, and Southwest will each compete in benefit matchups, bringing high school football fans together for an evening of competition. A portion of the ticket sales for benefit games directly support the AAA Catastrophe Insurance Fund. At Quigley-Cox Stadium, the LR Central Tigers will host Jonesboro. At War Memorial Stadium, the Parkview Patriots will face LR Catholic. Meanwhile, Southwest will travel to the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff to take on Pine Bluff. While the games will feature plenty of football excitement, today's focus extends beyond the scoreboard. Benefit Week provides an opportunity for coaches and players to work out the kinks before the season begins next week. Three games. Three LRSD programs. One evening of football.
